Before and After Your Juvederm Treatment

You will eventually need follow-up injections to maintain your age-defying results. You will also want to take steps to ensure that your results last as long as possible.
Avoid blood thinners. Over-the-counter products like aspirin and ibuprofen can increase the risk of bleeding after injections.
Avoid blood-thinning supplements like St. John's wort, ginkgo biloba, garlic, primrose oil, and vitamin D for one week after your Juvederm treatment.
Topical products to avoid include retinols, retinoids, Retin-A, and glycolic acid for a few days.
Do not wax, tweeze, or bleach the area for three days before your treatment.
Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages for 24 hours before your injections.
Inform your practitioner if you are prone to cold sores, as the needles could trigger another outbreak.
